Love online leads to marriage in paradise
Janeiro 9th, 2017
New Yorker Jessica Grun met Matt Lender, from Connecticut, online. “It seems to be the way these days,” shared Jessica. And planning a destination wedding online seems to be the way to go for many brides these days as well.
Jessica and Matt decided to have a destination wedding, choosing Aruba as the locale for their special day.
“We chose Aruba for the wonderful weather year round, so it made choosing a wedding date fairly easy, as well as the short flight from New York…also, the availability of on-staff wedding planners at the hotels made it fairly simple to implement".

Planning a wedding online can best be accomplished with the help of a local weddingplanner. The couple’s host hotel, the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, has an onsite wedding and event planner, Corinne Willemsen.
“As far as details...Corinne coordinated everything; she simply asked for photos of what I wanted and everythingwas executed perfectly”, shared the bride.
Jessica’s dress was designed by Christos.
“It was very lightweight, with tulle at the bottom, which helped me achieve the beachy/romantic feel I was going for…I also wore a simple headpiece with beads and flowers,” informed the bride. The groom wore a navy suit with a mini-dot tie.
For the reception, the intimate wedding party of 11 walked over to Marriott’s toes-in-the-sand seaside dining experience, Atardi, for a champagne toast, dinner, and wedding cake.
[Final Words from the Bride]
“I would not change a thing about our wedding--it was perfect and went seamlessly. When you choose to have a destination wedding as we did, you're leaving a lot of things up in the air as to how they'll turn out.
A lot is sort of out of your control. I have to say, everything I asked for was executed perfectly and I was not stressed in the least. It was the perfect wedding day. Aruba will forever be a special place in our heart that we hope to visit regularly.”
