It’s safe to say that most couples are looking for romance on their honeymoon, but what one couple considers romantic may be very different from what floats the boat of another couple.  No worries...Aruba offers a wide range of excursions that promise enough diversity to satisfy every definition of romance.  Of course, all these excursions take place against a backdrop of beautiful beaches, stunning landscapes, and breathtaking sunsets for that extra special touch.

Monforte Evening Dinner Cruise

There’s something particularly sensuous and intimate about cruising along in the sea at night, and the elegant Monforte III capitalizes on this, offering an upscale sailing and dining experience in Aruba’s coastal waters.  The 115-foot wooden schooner, built by Brazilian artisans using Brazilian walnut, is an ideal fit for this luxury dinner cruise.  You and your new spouse will enjoy cruising under the stars before indulging in a sophisticated culinary journey featuring four courses and butler service.

Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Throw on your suits, grab two boards, and paddle off into the sunset together!  Seriously though, if you and your partner have the itch to work up a sweat (or work off some of those champagne calories) while also spending some romantic time together, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) could be just the ticket.  Watersports companies and even some resorts offer the use of paddleboards and can also provide instruction when needed.  You could always join a group tour, but you’d get that extra romance factor by heading out alone with your beloved.

Hiking at Arikok National Park

The breathtaking landscapes, the melodious song of birds flirting with one another, and that feeling of serene privacy—there’s really nothing like being out in nature to inspire romance, and in Aruba, hiking together in Arikok National Park is a perfectly romantic nature excursion that most couples can get behind.  The park boasts countless hiking trails that put visitors up close and personal with Aruba’s native flora and fauna, rich geological diversity, and preserved cultural heritage.  Trails range in difficulty, and the staff at the visitor center can help you and your partner find the right match for you.  Bring plenty of water, a hat, and some sunscreen—and heck, bring a bottle of champagne to pop along the trail as you watch the sunset!

Picnic at Mangel Halto

The picnic.  It’s the epitome of romance for the couple that likes to keep things simple.  Assemble some sandwiches, grab a bottle of wine or bubbly, and head to one of the best picnic beaches the island has to offer: Mangel Halto Beach.  You’ll find this beach, named for the dense network of mangroves that make their home here, tucked into a corner of the Spanish Lagoon.  A few palapas and the mangroves themselves provide the shade needed for your picnic.  Plan to take a dip at some point, as the expanse of shallow, aquamarine water at Mangel Halto is irresistible.  Plus, the nearby barrier reef is easily reached by a short swim from shore for some excellent snorkeling.

What our brides are saying

I would highly recommend a destination wedding in Aruba to everyone. All of our guests expressed to us how much fun they all had and what an amazing time it was. Who wouldn’t want to get married surrounded by all the people that love and care about you while being on vacation? It doesn’t get much better than marrying the person you love while standing in the sunset in one of the most beautiful places in the world!
